2025 Backpack and School Supplies Distribution

Have some school supplies you'd like to donate? Help Oconee County students and teachers by donating to United Way of Oconee! You can drop supplies off at United Way of Oconee's office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. All supplies are appreciated and help us fill approximately 400 backpacks that we will distribute to students on July 31st. Monetary donations are also appreciated, as they help us fill the gap between what is donated and what is still needed. Please be sure to include "school supplies" in the donor notes if donating online. Leftover supplies are distributed to Oconee County teachers throughout the school year to help keep their classrooms stocked with the supplies students need to succeed. 

Join us for our Backpack Distribution Event on Thursday, July 31st at Shaver Recreation Complex in Seneca! Backpacks are distributed in a drive-through from 10 am - 1 pm (while supplies last). Children must be enrolled in an Oconee County public school in grades 1-12, and they must be present to receive their backpack. Due to demand, we can only distribute up to 3 backpacks per car. Backpacks are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Backpacks are divided into elementary, middle, and high school and filled with basic supplies from the school supply lists.
